Suspected killer arrested

Police on Sunday arrested one of the seven FIR-named accused of a double murder case in Jessore. Arrestee Mozaffar hails from village Ashingrhi in Jhikargachha upazila. Earlier, Nazrul Islam lodged a complainant naming seven people and 12 unidentified others as killers of Awami League leader Ansar Ali and his younger brother Jubo League leader Ruhul Amin. Two bombs were hurled on them on May 22 at village Kanairali when they were returning home at village Sadipur, killing both on the spot. The miscreants also slaughtered them to ensure their death.
