Students of Rajshahi Engineering and Survey Institute yesterday boycotted classes and took out a procession in the city to press home their four-point demand. Several hundred students under the banner of “Students' Development Committee” later put up a barricade on the busy Shaheb Bazar road and staged a sit-in at zero point, disrupting traffic for an hour. The students of the institute urged the government to meet their demands as early as possible, otherwise they threatened to launch a tougher agitation programme.
