Murder case against 3 sons of Varosha

A murder case was filed against five people, including three sons of Rahimuddin Varosha, with the Additional Cheif Judical Magistrate's Court here yesterday. The accused are Ashraful Hoque Varosha, Emdadul Hoque Varosha, Ekramul Hoque Varosha and their two associates Babul Mia and Amin Uddin. Ferodousi Begum of Haragachh Pourasava (municipality) under Kounia upazila filed the case, accusing the five of killing his brother Noor Alam, a night guard of Nabijannechha High School, at Varosha's Haragachh residence on the night of April 4 this year. In the case statement, the complainant said Rahimuddin Varosha, former president of BNP district unit, gave a proposal to Noor Alam to marry off his daughter to him. Hearing the news, his (Varosha's) sons Ashraful, Emdadul and Ekramul called Alam at the Haragachh residence and beat him up severely. She further said Noor Alam succumbed to his injuries when Babul and Amin were taking him to Rangpur Medical College Hospital in a private car. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate accepted the case and asked the officer-in-charge (OC ) of Kaunia Police Station to take necessary steps in this regard.
