The Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court, Kurigram, yesterday granted bail to Dr Shahidul Alam of Drik Gallery in a case filed against him by BDR on charge of his illegal entry into Indian territory. BDR Roumari company commander Daud Ali filed the case against the noted photoghapher with Roumari Police Station yesterday morning. Indian Border Security Force (BSF) detained Shahidul while he was taking photographs in Char Naya Bandar area along Roumari frontier at 5:30pm on Tuesday. After a flag meeting, BSF handed him over to BDR personnel. BDR then filed the case against Shahidul and produced him in the Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court that granted him bail.
