Two children drown

Two children drowned in a pond at Puthia village in Kumarkhali upazila of the district on Friday evening. The children were Sagar, 7, son of Amirul Islam and Nirob, 6, son of Haider Ali, both were students of class one. A six-year-old girl named Urmee informed their families that she had seen Sagar and Nirob on the bank of a pond of the village. Receiving the information, members of the families rushed to the spot and found the boys floating on the pond.
