Six people have been sued on charge of killing two freedom fighters during the Liberation War in Natore and Satkhira districts. Son of a martyred freedom fighter yesterday filed a petition with Natore Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court against five 'rajakars' for killing his father, reports a correspondent from Natore. The accused are Zinnat Ali and Abul Kasem of Gouripur village, Abdul Kader and Hasem of Haibatpur village, Habibur Rahman of Arjunpur village in Natore Sadar upazila. According to the case statement filed by Abdul Aziz Akand, son of freedom fighter Amir Ali Akand of village Haibatpur in Natore Sadar upazila, the accused stormed their house on August 17, 1971 and killed Amir Ali by slitting his throat. Chief Judicial Magistrate Sharif Uddin Ahmed asked the officer-in-charge of Natore Sadar Police Station to accept the petition as an FIR and submit a report to the court after proper investigation. Our Satkhira Correspondent adds: An alleged collaborator of the then Pakistan occupation army has been sued for killing a freedom fighter in Assassuni upazila in 1971. The accused, Mozahar Ali Sardar of village Gadaipur in Assassuni upazila, and his accomplices took freedom fighter Nawsher Ali to Chapra Rajakar camp and killed him on May 10 in 1971, goes the case statement filed on Tuesday by Nawsher's son Nazim Uddin of the same village. They had also set fire to the house after looting cash and other valuables, it adds. After hearing, Judicial Magistrate MA Sayeed ordered the officer in charge of Assassuni Police Station to accept the petition as an FIR and file a case against the accused.
