Rivals reject Pabna BNP convening committee

Our Correspondent, Pabna
Leaders and activists of a faction of Pabna BNP yesterday rejected the 71-member district convening committee, saying that the dedicated leaders have not been included in the committee. They made the announcement at a press conference at local press club yesterday. Seven leaders of the faction, who have been included in the full-pledged committee formed on July 6, were also present at the conference and refused to be included in the body. They are Abdus Samad Khan Montu, Saiful Islam Badsha, Monwarul Islam Firoz, SM yakub Ali Swapan, Abu Bakar Siddique, Nur Mohammed Masum and Mosabbir Hossain Sonju. Leaders of the faction urged the party high command to review the committee and demanded withdrawal of expulsion of Kamrul Hassan Mintu, former organising secretary of the district unit. Internal feud of Pabna district BNP surfaced anew after the central committee declared a new convening committee on June 9 with Engineer Habibur Rahman Tota as convenor.
