JS body on CHT meets July 20

The 4th meeting of the 9th permanent parliamentary committee on Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) affairs will held at the conference hall of Khagrachhari Hill District Council (KHDC) on July 20. The committee will discuss matters relating to lease of 25 acres or more government land to individuals and cancellation of lease in case of non-utilisation during the last 10 years, says a government notification signed by Assistant Secretary Md Abu Al Helal. The committee will also discuss the progress of activities of the task force on the refugees returning from India and Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board (CHTDB). State Minister for CHT Affairs Ministry and Rangamati lawmaker Dipankor Talukder, CHTDB Chairman and Bandarban lawmaker Bir Bahadur Ushei Singa, Chittagong-5 lawmaker ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, Khagrachhari lawmaker Zatindra Lal Tripura, and other members of the committee will attend the meeting presided over by Mymensingh-1 lawmaker Promod Mankin.
