2 expelled CU students held

Two expelled students of Chittagong University (CU) were arrested yesterday for their alleged involvement in campus violence. The arrestees are Zahedul Islam Jewel alias Black Jewel, science and technology affairs assistant secretary of CU unit Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), and Rashedul Hasan Rajib, also a BCL activist. Hathazari police picked up them from No. 1 gate of the university around 1:00pm. Police said they were accused in four cases. They were expelled from CU on disciplinary ground.
