Charge-framing against accused deferred

District and Sessions Court yesterday deferred charge framing against the accused in the case for grenade attack on AL men on Gulshan Centre premises in Sylhet city on August 7, 2004 as police produced only one out of the six accused in the court. Judge Md Mominullah fixed the date for charge framing on August 3. Sylhet City AL Publicity Secretary Mohammad Ibrahim Ali was killed and 50 others were injured in the grenade attack. CID's Inspector Md Zobayer Ahmed filed charge sheets against six, including Huji chief Mufti Abdul Hannan, his brother Mufti Muhibullah alias Muhibur Rahman Ovi, Mufti MainuUddin Sheikh alias Abu Zandal, Sharif Shahedul Alam Bipul, Delwar Hossain Ripon and Humayun Kabir Himu in the two cases---one under Special Powers Act and the other for killing on September 20, 2009.
