Fire at residential building in Dhaka’s Jigatola under control
Blaze was reported on the second floor of a four-storey building
A fire broke out at a residential building in Dhaka’s Jigatola today.
The blaze was brought under control within around one hour, Rozina Akhter, a duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence, told The Daily Star.
She said the fire was reported on the second floor of a four-storey building in Jigatola around 2:36pm.
Two units from Hazaribagh Fire Station rushed to the spot and doused the flames by around 3:15pm.
The cause of the fire and the extent of damage could not be determined immediately, added the official.
