BGB detains 2 Indians for illegal entry

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) early yesterday detained two Indian nationals in Lalmonirhat for entering the country without valid documents.

The detainees were identified as Rahmat Ullah, 30, and Suman Haque, 23. They are both from Jaridharla Daribas village under Dinhata Police Station in West Bengal's Cooch Bihar, said Maj Asiful Islam Siddiquee, acting commanding officer of Lalmonirhat BGB Battalion 15.

They were detained from a house at Kawar Char area on the border of Dighaltari under Aditmari upazila. They will be handed over to India's Border Security Force (BSF) through a flag meeting, he said.
