BGB detains Indian national for illegal entry

The BGB detained an Indian national for illegally entering Bangladesh through Roumari border in Kurigram yesterday.

The detainee is Pasan Ali, 33, from India's Assam, said Khaledur Rahman, Subedar of Dantbhanga BGB camp.

The Indian national entered Bangladesh territory crossing a river in the border area early yesterday and is allegedly involved in smuggling, the BGB official said, adding the man has been handed over to Roumari Police Station this noon.

A case was being filed in this regard, said Mantaser Billah, OC of the station.
