EC launches voter registration, NID services for Bangladeshis in Singapore, Bahrain, Sweden

Three Election Commissioners are set to visit Singapore, Bahrain and Sweden to launch voter registration and NID services for Bangladeshi expatriates.

The Election Commission secretariat today issued three separate government orders in this regard.

According to the orders, EC Abdur Rahmanel Masud is scheduled to visit Bahrain from July 15 to July 21 to attend the inauguration ceremony of voter registration and join a meeting with expatriates on voting and NID services.

Commissioner Md Anwarul Islam Sarker is set to travel to Sweden from July 30 to August 5, while Commissioner Brig Gen (retd) Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah is expected to visit Singapore from July 29 to August 4 for the same.

These tours will be treated as official visits with all expenses to be borne by Election Commission’s IDEA Project-2, said the orders.
