Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal yesterday declined to comment on whether the January 7 polls would be accepted nationally and internationally.

The High Court yesterday upheld the Election Commission’s decisions to scrap the candidacies of Awami League leaders Shamim Haque, Shammi Ahmed and Enamul Haque Babul.

Awami League will announce its election manifesto on December 27.

The Election Commission will start training over 9 lakh polling officials across the country from today.
