Mosleh Uddin new DMP chief

Additional Inspector General of Police Mosleh Uddin Ahmed has been appointed commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

Mosleh Uddin is currently serving as the chief of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

On February 26, Sheikh Mohammad Sazzat Ali resigned from the post of DMP commissioner. He had been serving on a contractual basis.

Following his resignation, Additional Commissioner Mohammad Md Sarwar was given charge of the DMP commissioner post.

After Sarwar went on retirement on May 14, Additional Commissioner SN Nazrul Islam took over the charge as acting commissioner.

Mosleh Uddin joined the police service as an assistant superintendent of police through the 15th BCS in 1995.
