Hasina's call for blind loyalty
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's recent request to AL members to work and vote for the party whatever they may think of the candidates is similar to another situation from the past few months. A situation when people were asked for blind loyalty to candidates regardless of their qualifications or positions on issues. A situation when people were rewarded for that support, through money then and party positions now. A situation when the people seeking power viewed others simply as tools to attain that power instead of earning it with successful ideas and performance. Congratulations to AL members as their leader treats them in the same way local candidates did when they bribed slum dwellers for votes.
