Polashi morh needs a roundabout

Polashi morh is one of the few places in Dhaka city where five roads have joined at a single intersection. These roads lead to Nilkhet, Dhaka University, BUET campuses and Azimpur. Consequently, this intersection remains busy almost all the time. Unfortunately, there are no roundabout or on-duty traffic policemen to regulate the flow of traffic. As a result, regular commuters of this road are in high risk of accident. A few days before, a student of BUET was badly injured at this intersection. As she was riding her bike, a vehicle hit her. She had to be hospitalised after the accident.
As the students of BUET, we are concerned about our own and others' safety. We demand that a roundabout be set up at Polashi morh and traffic policemen be stationed at this intersection for controlling the traffic. The authorities concerned are requested to take necessary steps as early as possible.
