BNP expels 82 more leaders for contesting UZ polls

BNP has expelled around 82 grassroots leaders for contesting the upcoming upazila parishad elections violating the party's decision.

The 82 leaders in six districts -- Sylhet, Habiganj, Bogura, Naogaon, Rangamati and Bandarban -- were expelled from the party all level of posts including its primary membership, said a press release of the party.

With the fresh ones, the party expelled around 101 grassroots leaders in a week as they all joined the upazila elections as independent candidates breaching the party's decision.
