FIRST ACCENT ARREST: 21yr old capital man first to be detained

Our Correspondent, Goolbaaj

Police have detained a man for creating disturbance in the Chapasthani capital of Goolbaaj yesterday.

Rafique Al Bari, 21, was picked up from the town square last night after numerous people called the police, our local correspondent reports quoting police and locals.

It later emerged today that Rafique's strange behaviour may have had something to do with his social media accounts being frozen due to him speaking the native tongue in a foreign accent in some videos he had uploaded.

"We were called around 9:00pm last night and told that a man was lightly slapping people. And sticking his thumbs in people's food in the al fresco restaurants of the town square," said Kishore Vriddha, officer-in-charge of Goolbagh North Police Station.

Rafique's friend, who obviously wished to remain unnamed, told our correspondent that Rafique had started to behave strangely when he came home yesterday afternoon and found all his accounts blocked.

"He came over to me and started swiping across my face, and mumbled 'the screen must not be working'," the friend said.
