Save our rivers, lands

A few days ago, we, the Janata Bank treasury department went to our yearly picnic at Padma resort. The site is situated in Munshiganj. We started our journey in the morning. When we were crossing the Buriganga- China Friendship Bridge, we became utterly shocked at the sight of the dying Buriganga. We saw many billboards of the housing companies spread all over the cultivable lands. The housing companies are devouring our cultivable lands which will eventually jeopardise our food security. The government should take appropriate measures to save our cultivable lands and rivers from grabbers.
