Second innings suicide
To chase a mere 105, it was not a slogging Ziaur Rahman approach that was needed, but a test mentality Mominul approach which was needed. All that was needed was to hit the ball on the ground until 106 was reached no matter how many overs it took. The television camera showed Heath Streak shaking his head in disbelief every time a sky-ball was hit. If anybody should stand up when no one else does, it should be the captain. I am referring to the sky-ball. It does not matter whether the Tigers are defending 326 or chasing 105, they will usually stupidly commit “second innings suicide,” whether it's dropping catches or slogging sky balls.
