People have been meeting online for as long as I can recall – from IRC's solely text-based Bangladesh channel to the groups and communities on Facebook. It's an efficient way to socialise and meet new people if you're an introvert or have social anxiety. However, besides the perks, meeting people online has its share of issues as well. People with questionable intentions may hide behind the veil of anonymity.
