Aishwarzo Rahman will compete in three finals on Saturday at the Teer 16th National Archery Championships after the BKSP player-coach secured two more final berths in the compound division on Friday, adding to the one he had already confirmed on Thursday.

Aishwarzo, alongside his BKSP students Shahriar Rahman and Ashiqul Islam, advanced to the compound men’s team final with a 224-216 semifinal win over Bangladesh Ansar at the Archery Training Center in Tongi, Gazipur.

In the other semifinal, Bangladesh Air Force, represented by Himu Bachhar, Siam Siddik and Thoriqul Islam, edged past Bangladesh Army Archery Association 218 (27+) - 218 (27) to set up a final clash with BKSP.

In the compound mixed team event, Aishwarzo paired with his student Kulsum Akther Mone to beat Bangladesh Ansar’s Solima Akter and Vanrum Bawm 154-152, booking a place in the final against Bangladesh Air Force, who defeated Bangladesh Army Archery Association by the same margin in the other semifinal.

Earlier, Aishwarzo had reached the compound men’s individual final on Thursday with a narrow 146-145 victory over Air Force’s Thoriqul Islam. He will face Nawas Ahmed Rakib of Bangladesh Archery Federation, who secured his final berth by beating Air Force’s Himu Bachhar 146-145.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Air Force underlined their dominance by reaching finals in eight of the 10 events.

They confirmed six more final berths on Friday -- recurve men’s team, recurve women’s team, recurve mixed team, compound men’s team, compound women’s team and compound mixed team -- after already progressing to the finals of the recurve men’s individual and compound women’s individual events on Thursday.

The recurve men’s individual final will be an all-Air Force affair, while Air Force teams will face opponents including BKSP, Bangladesh Ansar, Bangladesh Army Archery Association and Archery Club of Metropolis across other finals.
