Bangladesh ODI skipper Tamim Iqbal hinted that batting failure has cost his side their third ODI against Afghanistan in Chattogram today.

An 86-run knock from Liton Das did not amount to much as a series of dropped catches saw Rahmanullah Gurbaz smash his third ODI century to help Afghanistan thrash Bangladesh by seven wickets in the third and final ODI at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram today. 

Despite a brilliant 86-run knock from opener Liton Das and being in a commanding position – on 100 for one within 21 overs – hosts Bangladesh could post no more than 192 after being all out in 46.5 overs against Afghanistan in Chattogram's Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium today.

Fast bowler Ebadot Hossain made it to Bangladesh ODI squad for the first time on the back of a magnificent match-winning performance in the historic Mount Maunganui Test against New Zealand earlier this year.

In Bangladesh’s optional practice on Thursday, he kept a close eye on Tamim’s work at the nets and had discussed a few things he noted. Following today’s practice session at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury stadium, Jamie was available to talk to the media and talked about some of the things he saw from Tamim.

Fans looking for tickets for the first ODI between Bangladesh and Afghanistan were surprised to find that the ticket booths at Sagorika road had not opened even at 11 am today.  On Sunday, a BCB media release had said that booths were to open from 9 am. Some of the fans waiting for tickets had been there from 5am.
