Why are the bus stop projects worth Tk 700 crore failing?
The dedicated service lanes and bus bay or bus stop projects amounted to around Tk 700 crore, and the construction work at various bus stands and market locations from Gabtoli to Paturia Ghat is near completion. However, most bus stops and market areas along the Dhaka-Nabinagar route do not use these separate lanes for the stoppage. As a result, the highway is completely packed all the time.
