NO MORE RAGGING PLEASE!

A few days ago I had a very bad experience. I just got enrolled in a renowned university which is well known for its architecture department. But what people really don't know about this department is that here students go through a series of ragging and bullying by their seniors almost everyday of their first year.  In my case I was ragged by the seniors in the most embarrassing way possible just during my second week. I was shattered and lost all motivation to go to university. But later I came to know from other students that this is just the culture of this university. You can't complain against the seniors as they are the ones who will help you with your projects. Whatever it is, I believe it is a very shameful 'tradition' that needs to be stopped now.

WHEN WILL WE LEARN?

Despite dustbins being set up in different parts of the city, some people insist on littering right outside the bins. While waiting for a bus at Farmgate, I saw a group of college students chatting away, with packets of muri and plastic water bottles in the hands. When they saw their bus arriving, each one of them hastily discarded the packets and bottles on the road, without taking a second look at how their littering affected the look of the place. What shocked me even more was that there was a public waste bin right where they were standing! They just needed to take a second of their precious time and use the bins which were at their disposal. How can we blame the government or authorities when our next generation wants their country to stay dirty and unclean?
