AL, BNP mayor candidates vote in Sylhet

Both Awami League and BNP mayor candidates have cast their votes in the Sylhet City Corporation (SCC) elections.

Running mayor, also BNP candidate Ariful Haque Chowdhury cast his vote around 8:00am, soon after voting began in the city, reports our Sylhet correspondent from the spot.

Meanwhile, ruling party AL backed candidate, Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran cast his vote at 8:30am and expressed hope of winning.

He also said the elections are going on in a free and fair manner.
