Ten ministries and divisions failed to spend a single penny on development projects in the first month of the current fiscal year, according to government data.

Spending under the annual development programme (ADP) has been going slow in the current fiscal year (FY), with implementing agencies using just 31.17 percent of the total allocation till February this year, showed official figures.

The government’s spending from its own purse rose in the first four months of the current fiscal year while the use of the funds from the foreign aid portion of the budget fell.
