Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha's resignation has relieved the judiciary of a burden, Attorney General Mahbubey Alam said yesterday.

“I received a letter this afternoon that said I would be killed in a month,” says Attorney General Mahbubey Alam. “The senders introduced themselves as leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami,” he adds.

Attorney General Mahbubey Alam hopes that the capital punishment of war criminal Mir Quasem Ali will be upheld in the Supreme Court judgement.
