Google has released Lyria 3.5, a new version of its artificial intelligence (AI) model for generating music, making it available through the Gemini app and Gemini API.

Suno, the artificial intelligence (AI) company behind a music-generation platform, has recently raised over $400 million in a series D funding round, bringing its valuation to $5.4 billion, even as it continues to face ongoing copyright lawsuits from major record labels.

Warner Music had sued Suno last year, along with Sony Music, Universal Music and the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). They claimed that Suno used copyrighted songs to train its AI models without permission.

A new survey, conducted by polling firm Ipsos for the streaming service Deezer, has revealed that 97% of listeners cannot tell the difference between songs created by AI and those composed by humans.
