United States’ Department of State stands by its claim that the last parliamentary election of Bangladesh was not held in a fair manner.

Ruling Awami League informs the Election Commission that its party men are being targeted all over the country, a development which saw two of its leaders killed yesterday.

Any government official or law enforcer attempting to influence the polling process will face actions, Election Commissioner Rafiqul Islam said yesterday.
