Bangladesh are set to encounter Sri Lanka on their opening game of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup on February 12 next year in Capetown as the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the fixtures for the mega event today.

While the men’s team are eyeing to clinch their much-awaited Asia Cup title in the UAE, the Bangladesh national women’s cricket team started their training camp for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier.

According to the first women's Future Tours Programme (FTP), announced by the ICC on Tuesday, Bangladesh’s journey in the third edition of the ICC Women's Championship will begin in December this year when the Tigresses tour New Zealand for three ODIs and as many T20s.
