The shareholders of Bank Alfalah gave go-ahead to the acquisition on March 26

Bank Asia signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bank Alfalah to acquire the latter's operations in Bangladesh, subject to regulatory approval and the completion of legal formalities.

A day earlier, Karachi-based Bank Alfalah disclosed the information on the Pakistan Stock exchange.

The multinational bank made Tk 43 crore in 2023, up from the previous year's Tk 13 crore
