In observance of International Mother Language Day, the two companies have made cinema accessible to the visually impaired through audio description. The selected film for this initiative is the Chorki original “Kacher Manush Dure Thuiya”, a project under the “Ministry of Love” series.

Today (January 6), Chorki’s verified Facebook page released the trailer for “Besura”, the final episode of “Dui Shaw”, revealing its cast. The episode features popular actress Sumaiya Shimu and singer Ismail Uddin Palakar. Sumaiya Shimu has confirmed that “Besura” marks her debut on the OTT platform, while Ismail Uddin Palakar ventures into acting for the first time.

The Chorki Original series “Dui Shaw” offers a spine-chilling new horror experience, directed by Nuhash Humayun. The four-episode series will premiere its first episode, “Waqt,” on the Chorki OTT platform at 12 am on December 19. The trailer was released on December 12.

Tanjin Tisha, known for her striking performances, is making her debut on the Chorki platform with “Ghumpori”. The actress shared her enthusiasm for the project, stating that she chose the film because of its compelling story. “Anyone who hears about or watches this story will be enchanted,” Tisha said. “It would have been a mistake to pass on this project. I believe the audience will love it.”

The Bengali letter ‘Pett Kata Shaw’ translates to the ‘Split-Bellied Shaw.’ Despite its actual pronunciation being ‘Murdhanya-Sha,’ this quirky nickname is more widely used. Director Rezaur Rahman’s “36-24-36,” originally scheduled for release on Chorki in July, was delayed due to the Anti-discrimination Students Movement that took place that month. Now, the OTT platform has shifted its strategy to boost the cinematic industry by opting for theatrical releases.

Produced by Chabial and released on the OTT platform Chorki as part of the “Ministry of Love” series, “Forget Me Not” is a web-film conceptualised by Mostafa Sarwar Farooki and directed by Robiul Alam Robi. Premiering on September 5, the film delves into the complexities of modern relationships against the backdrop of Dhaka’s evolving urban landscape.

Raihan Rafi’s film will be released on not just one, but two OTT platforms. The director shared the news on his official Facebook page.

The film “Hindi Vindi”, an Indian-Australian co-production, is gearing up for its October release in cinemas across India and Australia. The movie features rising star Rupanty Akid in a significant role and is directed by Indian filmmaker Ali Sayed, based in Sydney.
