Film director Himel Ashraf has recently stated that the shooting of superstar Shakib Khan's movie “Rajkumar” involves the most skilled technicians in the country. He further mentioned that individuals with greater expertise than those who worked on the previous film “Priyotoma”, are now part of “Rajkumar”. Therefore, the new project is expected to surpass the outcomes of “Priyotoma”.

Now, after patiently awaiting the feedback of both viewers and critics for two years, Touqir is set to make a return to the screen, this time in Rajshahi, with his latest creation – “Sinpaat”. Collaborating with a talented local team from Rajshahi, “Sinpaat” promises to be an original series under the banner of Chorki.

Hosted by Mousumi Mou, the press conference witnessed the presence of eminent author Anisul Hoque, representatives from Chorki and Alpha-i, along with journalists eager to witness the unveiling of this cinematic powerhouse.

President and Strategic Head of Chorki, Zaraif Hossain, made his much-anticipated appearance at the event, to speak about the special collaboration.

The singer-turned-actor, Tisha, used to sing and started her career as a musician and even had a band of her own named “'Angels Four” with prominent musician sensations of the country, Dilshad Nahar Kona, Nafisa, and Rumana.

The eerie premise of “Hatbodol” revolves around an architecture student, portrayed by popular actor Yash Rohan, who agonises over his possibly deceased pet, a dog, and how he tries to handle his grief by wanting to adopt another dog.

The director, who previously directed films like “Kishmish” and “Dilkhush” shared that the plot of his series is located on a hilly area. “A special team arrives there to integrate an active community. The story is about what happens next.”

The song, titled “Jochonar Phool”, is written by Chirkutt frontline Sharmin Sultana Sumi and she jointly tuned and composed it with the songwriter and Chirkutt member Pavel Areen. The latter also produced the song. Mostofa Sarwar Farooki himself released the song on Wednesday through his Facebook profile.

The film in which director Mostofa Sarwar Farooki himself appears on-screen from behind the camera (his usual job) for the first time can be said to be special. Then again, at the end of the day, how good or bad a film is, depends on the story and acting. For now, the glimpse of how he is as an actor is being perceived. 

Mostofa Sarwar Farooki has successfully concluded filming of his most recent project, "Last Defenders of Monogamy". The film features renowned actor Chanchal Chowdhury, known for his roles in "Karagar" and "Hawa", alongside musician Xefer Rahman. Additionally, the cast includes Samina Husain Prema and Shuddho Rai.

In a move to add Halloween-based entertainment this year, Chorki released a trailer for its original web-series “Procholito”. The series is of the thrilling horror genre comprising five plots. It has been geared up to release one new episode every Thursday, starting October 19.

Traditionally, nations around the world host such celebratory events to honour the achievements of their cinema in film festivals. This is the first time that Bangladesh has arranged such a celebratory night to grace the Bangladeshi films during an international film festival.

After reinvigorating Bangladesh’s OTT space with some amazing content, Chorki has expanded across the border, announcing that that the platform will work with talent in Kolkata as well.

"Something Like an Autobiography" will have three screenings at the 28th Busan International Film Festival.

According to sources, this show is being produced by Chorki. After his web-film "Redrum", it is Vicky's second collaboration with the platform.

Released during Eid, "Shurongo" gained an overwhelming response from moviegoers, with theatres across the country, including Dhaka, filling up within weeks of its release. This wave of success, however, has now extended beyond theatres to make a mark on OTT platforms.

After much speculation, Shihab Shaheen has finally confirmed the cast of his web-film “Kacher Manush Dure Thuiya”. The film will feature Tasnia Farin and Pritom Hasan’s fresh pairing.

Borno was also featured in Chorki’s web-series “Mercules”, where she donned the role of Anamika. “Natasha and Anamika are two different types of personas. Anamika is an extrovert who loves her friends and enjoys her life to the fullest. On the other hand, Natasha's personality is very complex. She is ambitious and a workaholic.” 

Rezaur Rahman is now gearing up for the upcoming Chorki anthology film series, “Ministry of Love”, supervised by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, where his production “36-24-36” will be featured.
