Playing a Test in Australia for the first time, Shoriful Islam has already given himself a place in Bangladesh cricket’s record books. But the left-arm pacer’s seven-wicket haul in the second Test in Mackay has also put him in the company of one of the game’s greatest fast bowlers.

While the West Indies are just one of the two sides to have won multiple men’s T20 World Cup titles, the Caribbean team will need to overturn some poor form at recent ICC tournaments, if they are to become the only three-time winner of the event.

The Caribbean great also told The Daily Star about what the Gabba Test win means for West Indies cricket.

"Although this edition has just started, I can see the urge from the curators to prepare sporting tracks which is a positive sign."

Fast-bowling great Ambrose, who is currently in Dhaka working as a commentator in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), gave a positive nod when he was asked whether he would want to work with the Bangladesh team. 

Both teams have a lot of work to do in order for them to move up the ICC rankings. They have to beat the top teams on a regular basis.
