The forest department with the help of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) rescue 30 wild birds and two Rhesus monkeys at a bird market at Tongi in Gazipur.

Ratargul is the only freshwater swamp forest in the country and affectionately called the "Amazon of Bangladesh".
