Bengali superstar Dev is set to take over as the host of the popular game show “Dadagiri”, marking the end of Sourav Ganguly’s long-running stint at the helm of one of Bengali television’s most successful reality programmes.

The much-anticipated reunion of Tollywood stars Dev and Subhashree Ganguly moved a step closer to the big screen as the film currently being referred to as "DeSu7" held its mahurat ceremony on Sunday.

In West Bengal, India, a dispute had been brewing within the entertainment industry, involving directors, actors, and technicians. The tensions between these groups have sparked ongoing debates and led to a pause in production activities for some.

Directed by Arun Roy, the biopic, “Bagha Jatin” portrays the tale of the Indian freedom fighter Jatindranath Mukherjee who played a major role India’s Independence back in the 20th century.
