Walkovers loom as domestic cricket crisis deepens
The domestic arena of Bangladesh cricket has long been mired in controversies and irregularities, despite repeated calls from experts and the media to strengthen its core in order to improve the country’s cricketing structure. That crisis appears to have deepened this season, with four of the five opening-day fixtures tomorrow expected to result in walkovers as several clubs could skip the games in protest against alleged irregularities in the most recent Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) elections.

BCB 'salutes' Tamim for instructing Old DOHS to play the First Division League
The Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) announced yet another deferment of the First Division League, which will now begin on December 14, the CCDM stated at a press conference at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Wednesday.

First Division: 12 clubs complete players’ transfer, eight missing
A total of 106 players have been roped in by 12 First Division teams as the players’ transfer window concluded on Thursday, with eight of the 20 First Division clubs -- who had sent a letter of protest to the BCB CEO -- missing from the process.

First division clubs unhappy over league schedule
Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) on Sunday announced that the next edition of the First Division Cricket League will begin on November 18, however, many of the participating clubs are unhappy with CCDM's announcement and as their demand of deferring the league was ignored.
