On a show featuring a stellar lineup, which included the epitomes of '90s Bangla rock — Miles, Nagar Baul, Ark, and Dalchhut — alongside Drockstar Shuvo and the prodigious Oni Hasan, with Jon Kabir, Jamshed Chowdhury, and Kazi Zohad Yazdani, perhaps the most delightful scene was seeing a notable number of attendees who grew up in the 1980s and 1990s.

Originally being among the “Big Three” that popularised rock music in Bangladesh, he has long transcended his status as a musician to become a true cultural icon. The sheer response he derives out of any crowd, in any place and in any situation testifies his ever-lasting popularity among both avid music lovers and casual fans. Indeed, there can only be one 'Guru' and at the moment, it is none other than James.

On Sunday, 'rock guru' James returned to Kolkata stage after five years at Netaji Indoor Stadium, along with his band Nagarbaul for the concert "Pujowalader Gaan-Pujo"

Apart from Nagarbaul, popular West Bengal band Fossils will also perform at the event. The frontman of Fossils, Rupom Islam is James’ fan. The organisers have tagged this concert refering it to a tie between to Bengals. Through this concert the audience will witness a significant collaboration between two Bengals.

The immensely popular musical venture of last year “The School of Rock” is making its return with its second edition on February 16, featuring Ashes, Shonar Bangla Circus, Plasmic Knock, Blue Jeans etc. and James as the headliner of the concert.

In an effort to enchant audiences amidst the chilling winter, James is gearing up for his first open-air concert of the year outside Dhaka. Nagar Baul James is thus set to enthral fans in Brahmanbaria on January 27.

The concert, organised by the Dhaka University Chhatra League, took place at the central sports field of Dhaka University on Friday (December 8) to usher in the new academic year and extend a warm welcome to the incoming students.

The concert was opened by Goriber Rockstars, who are a Texas based Bangladeshi rock band.

After much anticipation, rock icon James released his latest track today, on the first day of Eid. The song, which is titled, "Shobi Bhul", has been written by James and Bishu Shikdar, with the former composing the music as well. 

Mahfuz Anam James is all set to entertain audiences this Chaand raat with an all new Eid special track. 

Musician James today withdrew a case filed against four top officials of Banglalink Digital Communications Limited on charge of violating the copyright laws.
