The festival was originally scheduled to take place last month to mark the 127th birth anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam but was postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.

The government has declared the period from May 25, 2026, to May 25, 2027, as Nazrul Year to mark the poet’s enduring contribution to the nation.
