Five state law officers, including Additional Attorney General Abdul Jabbar Bhuiyan, resigned yesterday, citing “professional and personal reasons” amid unrest over recent appointments and cancellation of recruitments at the attorney general’s (AG) office.

Law Minister Anisul Huq yesterday said that all law officials of the state, except for the attorney general, will be asked to resign within a few days.
