Injury-hit New Zealand will give a debut to wicketkeeper Mitch Hay in the second Test against the West Indies in Wellington after Tom Blundell was ruled out on Tuesday.

Hay's lusty hitting snapped New Zealand's mid-innings doldrums as he raced to a career-best score which included 22 off the final over by Mohammad Wasim.
