The speedy trial tribunal in Rajshahi today sentenced three people including a local Awami League leader to death in connection with the sensational double murder of a mother and her son in Bagmara upazila in the district in 2014.

Speedy Trial tribunal-1 has awarded death penalty to four people for killing one Monir Hossain and cutting the dead body into seven pieces in 2013.

A Rajshahi court is to deliver the verdict of Rajshahi University Professor AFM Rezaul Karim Siddiquee murder case on May 8.
