Elon Musk's brain-computer interface company Neuralink plans to begin "high-volume production" of its brain implants and transition to a fully automated surgical procedure in 2026, as per a recent post by Musk on X.

Elon Musk’s neurotechnology company, Neuralink, is preparing to launch a new trial in October aimed at helping people with speech impairments translate their thoughts directly into text using a brain implant. The company’s president, Dongjin Seo, announced the initiative during a recent talk in Seoul, according to a report by Reuters.

Blindsight, the experimental vision-restoring implant by Elon Musk’s brain-chip startup, Neuralink, has received the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) "breakthrough device" designation, according to the company.
