Jaya Ahsan has kicked off the year by winning the Best Actress (Critics) award for her outstanding performance in the film “Putulnacher Itikotha.” She shared the exciting news on her official Facebook page.

Mukhopadhyay transposed the novel’s original setting forward to the late 1930s and early 1940s to make the narrative more immediate for contemporary viewers.

This year, actor Jaya Ahsan, a familiar face at the festival, made her debut as a panellist, offering her insights ahead of the highly anticipated international premiere of the film adaptation of “Putul Nacher Itikotha” at the Rotterdam International Film Festival on February 6.
