“I’m open to any medium, as long as the character excites me and gives me space to explore,” he shared. “Because for me, it’s never just about acting—it’s about becoming the character and living it.”

In becoming one with his character, Rizvi Rizu often pushes himself to the point of injury. “In ‘Feu’, I had a fight scene where I had to run at full speed through a forest, and the sharp leaves pierced my feet. In ‘Waqt’, I severely injured my thumb while holding a saw incorrectly. My thumb was on the body of the saw, and when I turned it on, it started moving and tore my skin. I suffered for 15-20 days, and everyone was terrified,” he recalled.

Today, faculty members and students from Dhaka International University (DIU) are set to attend a special screening of “Priyo Maloti”, featuring Mehazabien Chowdhury, at Star Cineplex’s SKS Tower in Dhaka. The university has reserved a hall for the 7:45pm show. 

The Chorki Original series “Dui Shaw” offers a spine-chilling new horror experience, directed by Nuhash Humayun. The four-episode series will premiere its first episode, “Waqt,” on the Chorki OTT platform at 12 am on December 19. The trailer was released on December 12.
