A major shake-up has taken place in the top tier of the public administration.

The interim government is seeking out individuals who maintain financial integrity, demonstrate competence and uphold professionalism while selecting secretaries within the administration.

New additional secretaries who have been pressing for promotion to secretaries must work for a year before they are considered for the promotion, according to a recent decision.

The government has promoted nine bureaucrats to the rank of secretary. Ministry of Public Administration issues gazette notifications in this regard.

In a latest reshuffle in the civil administration, the government transfers seven secretaries to new ministries and divisions.
