The Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) began in style on Monday, with two centuries lighting up the opening day and an unusually vibrant crowd filling the Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogura for the North Zone–East Zone clash.

The cricketer’s father said this while talking to reporters during a mass signature campaign demanding reinstatement of the Shaheed Chandu Stadium as a BCB venue.

Bogura District Sports Association’s general secretary Masudur Rahman Milan held a press conference last night and said that BCB officials should be ashamed of themselves.

Vexed by non-cooperation from the district’s local sports bodies and organisers for years, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is set to withdraw their association from the Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogura.
